The Flood

We just had a flood no thanks to a storm named “Ivan” that came to our state over the weekend. Well it started Friday morning and didn’t end till Saturday morning dumping in the area of like 5 to 6.5 inches of rain. Well as you can guess the water came up fast. As in from the time I came home from work at like 10:30 AM Saturday till I ran by the creek and river again at 2:30 PM it had come up like I would guess 5 to 6 feet? But we didn’t have any water problems here at home. But, the day as in Saturday turned out to be nice as for Sunday too.

Sheena and Jessica stayed the weekend with us and Saturday after I got home the girls woke up. Well as you would guess not even getting dressed ran out to see how high the water was. When they came back and ate their swim suit went on and out to play in the water they went and were in it ALL DAY! Then again Sunday too! Well the most important thing is while they were tubing and riding bike in the water is they didn’t get hurt and had a GREAT TIME!

This coming weekend is Alicia’s birthday and as of now the girls will be here again for the weekend! We hope nothing changes from now till then.
