Jason Bourne Is Back....

Jason Bourne Is Back....
This is Great News to all that enjoyed the first three Bourne movies!

Matt Damon is set to reprise his role as forgetful hitman Jason Bourne in a fourth action movie.

The movie star hinted 2007's The Bourne Ultimatum would be his third and final film in the franchise, but, a day after that film picked up three Oscars for Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing and Best Film Editing, movie executives have announced he'll be back as Bourne.

British moviemaker Paul Greengrass, who directed the two Bourne sequels, will also be back for the fourth installment.

Computer Memory Vulnerable to Hacking

By JORDAN ROBERTSON (AP Technology Writer)

The Princeton report shows how encryption, long considered a vital shield against hacker attacks, can be defeated by manipulating the way memory chips work. The researchers say the ease of their attack raises fears about the security of laptop computers increasingly used to store sensitive information, from personal banking data, to company trade secrets, to national security documents.

Freezing a dynamic random access memory, or DRAM, chip, the most common type of memory chip in personal computers, causes it to retain data for minutes or even hours after the machine loses power, the report found. That data includes the keys to unlock encryption. Without freezing, the chip loses its contents within seconds.

Hackers can steal information stored in memory by rebooting the compromised machine with a simple program designed to copy the memory contents - before the computer has a chance to purge sensitive data, according to the study. (More here)

"The Last Sitting"

February 25 2008 New York cover
In 1962, photographer Bert Stern shot a series of photos of Marilyn Monroe that have collectively come to be known as “The Last Sitting.” Taken during several boozy sessions at the Hotel Bel-Air, the photographs are arguably the most famous images ever captured of America’s most famous actress: Monroe, sleepy-eyed and naked, sips from a Champagne glass, enacts a fan dance of sorts with various diaphanous scarves, romps with erotic playfulness on a bed of white linens. Six weeks after she had posed, Monroe was found dead of an apparent barbiturate overdose.

In New York Magazine's current Spring Fashion issue, Lindsay Lohan is reborn as Marilyn Monroe, posing for photographer Bert Stern as Monroe did in 1962 for a sessions that became known as "The Last Sitting." But many of you probably knew that already. And many of you have already seen the pictures. So because the session is historic and beautiful, we're pleased to share five outtakes that did not appear in the magazine. We're particularly fond of the photo shown above, which might be the most Marilyn-esque of all. (Photos)

Wal-Mart Picks Blu-Ray Over HD DVD

By MARCUS KABEL (AP Business Writer)

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has picked Blu-ray over HD DVD in the market battle for the format of high-definition video.
The nation's largest retailer said Friday it has decided to sell only Blu-ray DVDs and hardware in its 4,000 U.S. stores and no longer carry rival HD DVD offerings.
The announcement comes five days after Netflix Inc. said it will stop carrying rentals in Toshiba Corp.'s HD DVD format and instead go exclusively with the rival Sony Corp. technology favored by five major movie studios.
Toshiba and Sony have been vying to set the standard for high-definition DVDs and players. The stakes are high because the winner will also get a boost in sales of DVD players needed to read the new format.

Best in Show!

One of America's beloved dogs, the beagle, has never won Best in Show at Westminster. In fact, no beagle has even won the hound group since 1939, and it's been 25 years since any kind of hound has been chosen as the overall winner. But could a charmer named Uno make history at New York's Madison Square Garden in the 132nd Westminster Dog Show?

Uno the underdog begins his quest for No. 1 or in this case, Numero Uno, on Monday when breed and group judging begins for the 2,627 dogs entered in the United States' second-longest continuously held sporting event (the Kentucky Derby is the oldest). Best in Show honors will be awarded Tuesday night.

With dreamy brown eyes that could melt the New York Rangers ice, Uno is sure to be a Garden crowd pleaser, especially among those who love to root for the dog-next-door types, as opposed to those rare breeds that sound like Italian desserts (Spinone Italiano) or like your neighbor across the street (the Plotts).

Since 1915, beagles have been the only breed consistently ranked in the Top 10 among the American Kennel Club's list of the most popular dogs. So why is the breed so admired by the general dog-loving public? "Because of good ol' Snoopy," says Uno's handler Aaron Wilkerson. "You think of a beagle and you think of Snoopy, and how can you pass that up?"

1996 Re-invigorated the Rodent Dairy Industry

The Federation of Rodent Cheesemakers

Welcome to the fascinating world of rat cheese. The art of making cheese from lactating rodents has never been more alive than today. Still considered by some to be a luxury of the few, fine rat cheeses are becoming ever more popular.

The ship's surgeon, Marcel Loussier, came up with an ingenious idea. The ship's rats had effectively colonised the island. Loussier put his sailors to work. Traps were set and rats captured. The men with the nimblest fingers were given the job of milking rats.

Famous Cheese-eaters
Perhaps the most famous consumer of rodent cheese is US President, George W Bush. And although he cannot spell, pronounce, or even remember it, Fromage des Merdes is said to be his favourite.
