The Term Halloween?

The term Halloween (and its alternative rendering Hallowe'en) is shortened from All-hallow-even, as it is the eve of "All Hallows' Day", also which is now known as All Saints' Day.

Contrary to what those who choose to persecute or lie about us wish to believe, Wicca is a very peaceful, harmonious and balanced way of thinking and life which promotes oneness with the divine and all which exists.

Wicca is a deep appreciation and awe in watching the sunrise or sunset, the forest in the light of a glowing moon, a meadow enchanted by the first light of day. It is the morning dew on the petals of a beautiful flower, the gentle caress of a warm summer breeze upon your skin, or the warmth of the summer sun on your face. Wicca is the fall of colorful autumn leaves, and the softness of winter snow. It is light, and shadow and all that lies in between. It is the song of the birds and other creatures of the wild. It is being in the presence of Mother Earths nature and being humbled in reverence. When we are in the temple of the Lord and Lady, we are not prone to the arrogance of human technology as they touch our souls. To be a Witch is to be a healer, a teacher, a seeker, a giver, and a protector of all things. If this path is yours, may you walk it with honor, light and integrity.

Wicca is a belief system and way of life based upon the reconstruction of pre-Christian traditions originating in Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. While much of the information of how our ancestors lived, worshiped and believed has been lost due to the efforts of the medieval church to wipe our existence from history, we try to reconstruct those beliefs to the best of our ability with the information that is available.

"Leopard X" The More I See, The More I Like!

This new OS from Apple is looking great from what I have seen online. Just was watching Chris Pirillo installing and trying out iChat. Tea has a 17" Mac Book Pro with Tiger on it and we may be doing a upgrade soon! I'm hoping to get the 15" Mac Book Pro here soon! (?) Just looking forward to trying out a Mac for myself if I'm a good boy. Will Microsoft ever do what Apple seem to know about making apps that user use better? I'm not a Mac person yet, but so hoping to be here soon!

Norton Anti-Virus 2007

If you have bought Norton Anti-Virus 2007 box CD before January 2007 or bought the download before the end of Febuary 2007 and found after installing it you are no longer able to get email using Outlook Express or Outlook it is becouse of Norton's. You need to get the update or as I found out a new Vista comapable version of the software. After downloading and installing, with two, yes two restarts you will find all will be back to normal with you Outlook and Outlook Express!

Win-Get

Win-get is an automated install system and software repository for Microsoft Windows written in pascal (for the command line client) and php for the online repository. The ideas for its creation come from apt-get and other related tools for the *nix platforms.

The system works by connecting to a link repository. Finding an application and downloading it from the stored link using wget.exe . Then performing the installation routine (silent or standard). And finnally deleting the install file.

Google Buys Mobile Software Maker Jaiku

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - Internet search leader Google Inc. said Tuesday that it has bought Finnish startup Jaiku, which makes a mobile phone application people can use to send short messages about where they are and what they're doing.
Terms of the acquisition weren't disclosed.

Google believes Jaiku's technology can help develop new ways to use mobile devices, according to a note posted Tuesday on Google's blog by Tony Hsieh, a product manager for the Mountain View-based company.

It hasn't made a formal announcement, but Google reportedly is working on a new operating platform for mobile devices to make it easier for people to access Google products when they're away from their personal computers.

Founded last year in Helsinki, Jaiku specializes in mobile phone software that makes it easier to share updates about their whereabouts and thoughts. The concept, known as "microblogging," also is being promoted by another startup, San Francisco-based Twitter.

Google shares soared to a new high of $623.78 Tuesday, before falling back to $615.18, up $5.57 for the day. The company's stock price has reached a new peak in seven of the last 13 trading sessions.

Why Britney Lost Custody

TMZ knows exactly why Britney lost custody -- she ignored the Commissioner at every turn.

Rewind to last month. L.A. County Commissioner Scott Gordon ordered Spears to do a number of things in order to maintain 50/50 custody.

Spears was ordered to meet with a drug counselor -- she didn't do it.

Spears was ordered to submit to drug testing -- she didn't do it.

Spears was ordered to enroll in parenting classes -- didn't do it.

Spears was also required to sign the judge's order -- again, she didn't.

And last Friday, Commissioner Gordon prohibited both Spears and K-Fed from driving the children unless they had a valid California driver's license. Gordon was pissed today when TMZ posted video of Spears cavalierly driving her kids around Malibu.

In short, Spears did everything wrong ... by doing nothing.
